Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevay I surrender to Bhagwan Shree Vasudev
Shrimad Bhagvat Mahapuran:
Maharishi Vedvyasji authored Shrimad Bhagvat Mahapuran and His son Sukdevji first narrated it to king Parikshit. It has 18000 Sloaks in 12 Skandhs. More you read it, more Gyan and Viragya will come in your life. If there is only one Hindu religious book that you read then read Srimad Bhagvat and if you read only one Skandh in Srimad Bhagvat then read Skandh 11. Why Skandh 11? Because in Skandh 11 Shree Krishna speaks the most and it includes Uddhav Gita, Navyogi Gita, Avadhut Gita, Bhikshu Gita, Hans Gita, etc. and that is why it is called "Moksh Lila".
Little information about Ved Vyasji:
He is an avatar of Shree Vishnu and is one of the seven Chiranjivs. He is the one who divided the original one Veda into the present four Vedas named Rig, Yajur, Sam and Yatharv Vedas.
Brahmaji's son was Vasisth muni.
Vasisth muni and Arundhiti's son was Sakti.
Sakti and Adashyanti's son was Parasar muni.
Parasar muni and Satyavati's son was Ved Vyasji.
Ved Vyasji's son was Sukdevji.
Vasisth muni, Parasar muni and Ved Vyasji were all present when Sukdevji narrated Bhagvat Mahapuran to king Parikshit. Sakti was not present because he was killed by king Kalamapashad before Parasar muni was born.
Ved Vyasji was also the biological grandfather of the Kauravas and adoptive grandfather of the Pandavas.
